Viscosity:snake venom

Who knew that snake venom has an almost ketchup like viscosity???? Snake venom is a non-Newtonian fluid. That means the snake venom viscosity depends on how fast it's traveling. Before the snake fangs make contact with its prey, it sticks together. When the fangs do make contact, the venom moves freely. Like ketchup, it's sticky at first but then it flows freely. That's why the ketchup makes that noise. Now you know that snake venom is like ketchup.
